Part of my personal philosophy of photography and videography is to keep things as simple as possible (and to avoid overcomplicated, often restrictive “packages”). My rates are based on time spent, and I keep production and post-production separate. I work with my clients to estimate time needed to complete a project to come up with the project cost. If you’d like an estimate for a project, please reach out and we’ll schedule a call!
Local Production
$200/hr
I charge by the hour for local filming. However, I cap my rates at $2000/day, so even if we’re filming for longer than 10 hours you don’t get hit with surprise fees.
Travel Production
$2000/day
For productions that require substantial travel, I’ve found it’s easier for everybody involved to bill by the day. Just like with Local Production, I only charge for the first 10 hours per day, so even if we’re filming for longer you don’t get charged more.
Post-Production
$200/hr
Editing is estimated by the hour. For most productions it’s safe to estimate between 5-10 hours of post-production per day of filming, but we can discuss your specific needs to provide an estimate.
Music Composition
$500/min
Music composition for film or video game soundtracks is set by minute of finished music. When scoring directly to picture we should have a good estimate of how much music is needed by the end of the spotting session.
Expenses
Any reasonable expenses incurred (travel, lodging, food) are the responsibility of the client, and are either covered in advance or reimbursed, depending on the expense.
Extras
Most of the time, this isn’t necessary. For productions that require extra or unusual equipment outside of my normal kit (things like renting specialty gear, physical deliverables, additional people, helicopters, etc), costs will be estimated with and approved by the client and billed as needed.
